Issue - 2005 Oct :The Australian Bookplate Society aims to promote the creation and the collection of Bookplates throughout Australia. To achieve this, the Society has created a forum for artists, collectors, would-be collectors and students to come together either through correspondence, the occasional Newsletter, exchange lists, the Internet or at meetings where a range of Bookplate related issues will be discussed.
The website has undertaken a transformation and is constantly under review come back soon to check detailed newsletter updates, register your email address with us for updates. There is plenty of detail to follow in new editions and we will be constantly updating the content gallery. use the bookmark facility on the main page now!
We are undertaking an ebrochure for publication at the moment, you will be able to view it online like a book, you will be able to download and read later off line in the same manner, you can print it or email it to a friend, these ebooks and ebrochures are a great way to read offline content at your convenience or keep for easy access back to our website. The future direction of the website is to provide good ongoing content for visitors. The Australian Bookplate Society will issue a range of publications similar to those published by its predecessor The Ex Libris Society of Australia (1922 - 1942). The Bookplate Society will also encourage publication of Bookplate books and articles about Bookplates in Australia. The Society publications will include:
